About Carrie

Carrie is the founder of Willow Green Pond, a private retreat and wellness space nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills. With over 30 years of experience in massage therapy, nearly a decade in physical therapy, and certification as a trauma-sensitive yoga instructor, she brings a compassionate, body-based approach to women’s wellness. She is also pursuing certification in mindfulness coaching to expand her ability to support clients in practical, restorative ways.

Her calling as a wellness guide was born out of her own journey through profound challenge and loss. Raised by a single mother, she became a caregiver at just fifteen and served her mom faithfully for 18 years until her passing. Her mother was not only her parent but her best friend and greatest supporter, making her loss especially deep. Years later, Carrie also lost her father. Their relationship had been complex and often toxic, marked by her role as a pleaser. His passing, while painful, opened her eyes to patterns she had long accepted and became the beginning of her wake-up process — the slow, courageous work of reclaiming her voice and boundaries.

Carrie has walked through near-death experiences, nervous system injury, pregnancy loss, and the weight of spiritual abuse and toxic family dynamics. For years, she expected her health to decline with age — yet the opposite has proven true. Through diligent self-care, holistic practices, and God’s grace, her health has flourished. Today she hikes at 9,000 feet with energy to spare, plunges into icy alpine waters, and continues to discover new strength and resilience. These embodied victories remind her daily that healing is not quick or one-size-fits-all, but possible — and often far greater than we imagine.

Her marriage of nearly 30 years is part of that story. Though marked by its own hardships, she and her husband have grown through them, and today they stand fully awake, restored, and side by side in the partnership she always knew was possible. Their journey together is a living reminder that healing is not only individual, but can transform relationships into something deeper and truer than before.

Her sessions reflect this truth. They are not a program or prescription, but Spirit-led and tailored — sometimes massage, sometimes yoga, meditation, or breathwork, often a blend of modalities shaped in the moment. Carrie’s passion is helping women move out of cycles of stress, burnout, or freeze and into safety, resilience, and renewal — drawing out the inner wisdom already planted within each woman.

Living close to the land as a homesteader and raising her children through homeschooling, Carrie continues to learn from nature’s rhythms. The seasons, the stillness of the pond, and even the hardships of farm life remind her that healing is never linear but always cyclical — a path of release, renewal, and return.
